Who is Veronica Confalonieri
Born in Liguria and a few years older than her very talented tennis player, Veronica Confalonieri is the beautiful and affectionate Lorenzo Musetti’s companion. She too, just like her partner, has a special connection to the world of tennis.
Although she is not a champion, from an early age she was able to immerse herself in the atmosphere of the big grass and red clay courts: she played tennis for a while and shared the passion with his sister Valentine, now a coach and wife of Gianluca Mager.
A passion that, however, unlike her sister, she did not turn into a profession: in fact, Veronica studied at the European Institute of Design and, after graduating, began working for Sky Sport’s graphic design team.
However, tennis remains a fundamental element in her life: a sport that allowed her to meet and begin a life with Lorenzo Musetti, that champion for whom she tirelessly cheers and with whom she she had a beautiful child in March 2024.
The love between Veronica Confalonieri and Lorenzo Musetti
The relationship between Veronica and Lorenzo were not born with a bolt of lightning. The two met in 2021 through Veronica’s brother-in-law Gianluca Mager. “We were friends, we were friends for a long time, we confided in each other. He always considered me someone he could rely on, a reference point, then things evolved” explained Veronica in an interview.
A love filled with important milestones that led them in 2024 to see the birth of their first child, Ludovico, who came into the world in March. A great responsibility that the two felt they could embrace despite their young age and burgeoning careers.
Speaking of Lorenzo as a father, Veronica describes him as “very loving, cares a lot about being a good dad, he also changes diapers. At first the fact that we were expecting a baby was a surprise, and it kind of threw us off. Maybe at first I was more shocked than he was, I was afraid that it would get in the way of his career, that he would feel homesick when he was out on tournaments.”
A sweet surprise that, while unplanned, brought Veronica and Lorenzo to the next point in their life as a couple, as well as giving the tennis player a new and devoted fan who at only four months old has already followed him to Wimbledon with his mom. “Ludovico is a sunny baby, he makes us sleep, he is quiet. Who does he look like? I see a lot of Lorenzo’s look in him.” Who knows if, one day, little Ludovico might decide to follow even in his father’s footsteps becoming a respected tennis player.
